If you have a daughter who is looking for a high school in the future, I highly recommend you take a look at Marymount!. These types of events really help the parents get to know one another and spend time with their daughter's friends. I love the events they offer such as the Father/daughter dance, Mother/daughter brunch, and the Father's BBQ on campus. They really get to know the students and help guide them every step of the way. Also, Marymount makes sure the students are on track for the college admissions process. Academically, the faculty is extremely attentive to the students and work with them if they need extra help or explanations. The young woman at Marymount really support one another and encourage each other to try new things. Socially she made many new friends, who all have different interests, personalities, and goals. Telling seniors to not apply to a certain school by claiming lack of "fit," when in reality, they want to cut down competition and cater to their quota. They claim to use a system based on "fit," but instead cater to a practice reliant upon getting as many seniors into 10% of colleges as they can. The ONLY negative gripe I have with Webb is the college admissions staff and their deceiving system that is inherently unequal. Beautiful campus, quality location, top notch. ![]() By FAR the best school academically in the area, and nothing within a 40 mile radius offers anything better or even remotely close to the quality and personalization of a Webb education. We were spoiled at Webb and I constantly am reminded of how much I was blessed to attend a school that is so enriching in several areas. The teachers here are top notch and the relationships they foster with students is extremely unique at the high school level.
